He played soccer professionally for over ten years in England, Sweden, Finland, Malta and Qatar.  During

his career he played for Wolverhampton Wanderers (England), West Bromich Albion (England), IFK Ostersund (Sweden), Kaskinen IK (Finland), Birkakara FC (Malta) and Al Ahli Sports Club (Qatar).

Campbell's philosophy is about developing players. He believes the young players must be taught the correct techniques and encouraged to use them in practices and games. He also believes that players develop as they learn from their experiences and that the game itself is the best teacher.

Campbell has coached State ODP teams which have included Ricardo Clarke (MLS Houston Dynamo), Justin Moore (MLS FC Dallas) and Lawson Vaughn (MLS LA Chivas).  In 2005, he coached the Georgia 89 ODP team to the National Championships Final Four.  Campbell also coached the GSA Phoenix 89 Girls who were GA State Champions 2005, and 2006, Regional Semi-finalists in 2005, and 2006, and R3PL Champions in 2005.
